I should retort I honestly have to learn more about automotive diagnostic tools. Some days ago, I searched the online wholesale shop for some diagnostic connectors. I was quite confused why there exist female cable and male cable.
At first, I belief it's a matter of dissimilar usage thing. Then I asked man for help. They tell me that these two kinds of cables are dissimilar in the interface. The Parallel port and Serial port have two dissimilar interfaces. The one with jacks is called female interface and the other one with pins is male interface. Oops, what a big mistake I have made!
[Parallel To USB Cable]
Fortunately, now more diagnostic connectors have a Usb interface, which will save my time searching for the internal usage of those queer names. I quite like those Usb interface. I can control them at ease and they are quite compatible with my Pc.
I got some auto heal tools, but the cables are honestly worn out. I'm quite glad they can be replaced. Diagnostic cables sold in some online wholesale shop are quite favorable. I saw them properly categorized agreeing to their interfaces and those shop give us definite data about the car models that they are compatible for and we can get a brief idea about their usages via the product names.
The price of diagnostic cables seems to be honestly cheap. Just paying mo more than 10 dollars, we can own one. But some more pro ones may cost more. Selecting free shipping ones may save you some money.
Modern auto heal depends more on onboard diagnosis. To get some good diagnostic cables is honestly essential. I'm honestly newbie in auto repair. Sharing everything I know and hope to learn more.
